Welcome to the 2009-10 school year. All of us at Kelly Creek Elementary (KCE) welcome you as members of our school community. We pride ourselves on being a community school with community values. I am amazed at what we have been able to accomplish this past year as a school community. As the school principal, I understand the important and invaluable contribution our Kelly Creek School families make to our school. We are fortunate to have a large number of parents who are here at the school weekly to provide the assistance that is needed to meet the high expectations we have for our students. We would be just another school without their help and support.
An important partner is the KCE Parent/Teacher Club (PTC). The PTC operates fundraisers that pay for school field trips, special educational assemblies, and equipment that supports classroom instruction. The PTC manages school volunteers who work with individual teachers, operate the two book fairs, and support the school library. In addition to financial support, the PTC plans school events including the Open House, the school carnival and Parents' Night Out. They also recognize staff members during appreciation weeks. All parents and guardians of students attending KCE are automatically PTC members and are invited to join the regularly scheduled school meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in the KCE library.
